EVENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Overview

Reconciliation Australia recognises that some individuals and organisations may find it difficult to participate in the event due to limited resources. We are offering:

  • Three full scholarships that cover the full cost of registration, as well as accommodation and flights.
  • Three partial scholarships that cover the full cost of registration (ticket fees). 
  • Five discounted conference tickets to attend the full event. Covers 50% of the registration fees. will be allocated based on available resources and number of applications received.

Types of scholarships

If successful, individuals may receive support for:

  • Complimentary registration plus travel assistance. Covers conference registration fees, a seat at the Indigenous Governance Awards 2026 Gala Dinner and support for travel and two nights’ accommodation.
  • Complimentary registration only. Covers the ticket cost to attend the two-day Conference and Indigenous Governance Awards 2026 Gala Dinner.
  • Partial conference support. Covers 50% of the conference registration fees.


Eligibility criteria

Applications for Conference and IGA 2026 Gala Dinner scholarships can be from 

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Individuals who work for a community organisation or not for profit
  • Individual students, teachers or educators
  • Impact of attending. Applicant is able to show how attendance will benefit their community or professional network

Applicants will be required to answer the following questions:

  • In your own words, how will attending the Conference and IGA 2026 increase your ability to advance reconciliation in your community and/or workplace?
  • Please tell us why progressing reconciliation in Australia important to you?
  • A brief statement of the applicant’s work in the reconciliation space and/or with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Please tell us why you seeking support to attend the National RAP Conference and IGA 2026 Gala Dinner 
  • Which scholarship are you applying for?

Process and Notification

  • There will be one round of scholarships offered in 2026
  • Applications will open 31 May 2026 and close by 1 August 2026.
